★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have bought food here 3 or four times and even thought the prices are not cheap, I think it is good value for money because the quality of the fish and the chips is really high, I am not into eating tale aways often but Tipene's is quite the treat.
The staff are very friendly and casual (not the conventional fish and chip vendor)
The portions are good and the packaging a bit fancy yet paper based

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Terrific flavours and textures. Great value for money. Kids love the burgers and hotdogs. I love the potato fritters and panko fish. Mushy peas are also exquisite. Do yourself a favour and try Tipene’s for your next takeaway. It’s our new go to.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Possibly the best fish and chips I have ever had. The $10 dollar packs come with the crispiest crinkle cut chips, coleslaw and are generously sized enough for two people. Fish comes with two lines and a yummy tartare sauce

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent fish and chips. The place itself has unconventional decor but the customer service is great and food was too. I only had the fish and chips, which came with heaps of lemon and house made tartar sauce which was yummy (I usually don't like it much). Would recommend but order ahead at busy times or you're in for a wait

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I’ve driven past here for about three years, today was the first time trying. My biggest regret not trying it three years ago. One of the best fish and chips I’ve had in a long time! Chips were perfect, fish was beautiful right amount of batter, lots of tartare sauce, wedges of lemon. Not greasy at all! Plus it’s nice to see the UK style sides which tasted authentic! Mushy peas and curry sauce! Looking for to the next order!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ So yummy! We always love the loaded fries and they always come fresh and tasty in a pizza box - genius! Definitely satisfies the craving for fried food every time. Onion rings are also juicy and crunchy, with real onion (none of that puréed stuff). Overall the best place for a tasty treat in the Morningside area✨
