The Tomo Bar & Eatery is the home of King Country Brewing Company! Boutique beers on tap mean the caves and crevices won’t be the only thing you’ll be scaling; “Scale the Pale Ale” and the many other sparkling brews on hand
King Country Brewing Company is a small (2000L) brewery situated in the heart of the tourist village of Waitomo Caves. We produce unique, fresh, flavour-focused beers from a high-tech, custom designed SmartBrew™ Brewery. Brewing in small batches allows us the flexibility to push the envelope and showcase our distinctive beers at their finest, fresh from the brewery.
We believe that beer tastes best coming out of a tap in the company of good friends, which is why you will only find our products available on tap at trusted bars spread throughout the King Country. Or you can come in and fill a growler at the Tomo Bar & Eatery to enjoy our beers at home or back the hotel.

Friendly and super helpful staff, great atmosphere and the drinks were amazing value for money. Can’t get any better than that. Would go again in a heartbeat. Support local!
