★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great ride along the river through regenerating bush. Great river, rural and mountain views. Can break it up at the Trout Hatchery. One challenging hill the rest gentle up and down.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Poison bait should not be dropped around trails used by tourists. We were advised of a 1080 aerial drop while walking our dog through the treated area, right at about halfway round the loop. At the end of the walk we found out from locals that a fellow visitor's dog had been poisoned and died the day before. There were some signs there, but not enough done to warn visitors and we won't be back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was a lovely track to take the dogs for a nice walk. The whole track is well marked and maintained. It could do with various rubbish bins along the way to keep the track tidy.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A great place for an easy walk or much longer if you prefer, UpTo 15km around the trail. Excellent place to see the rare Blue Duck and to catch yourself a Rainbow or Brown Trout.
