★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Highly recommend Ethan! We had a great time up on the hills. He helped my friend get a once in a lifetime red stag and me an awesome fallow buck in the bush. A memorable hunt for sure. He is down to earth and it feels like hunting with a good mate or a brother. My personal 3 pre-requisites before your trip with Ethan:
- Ask as many questions as possible. He is highly knowledgeable and you’ll learn a lot from him.
- Request Mrs Clark’s famous venison pie. You won’t regret it.
- Work on your fitness so you can keep up with Ethan. This is free range hunting so if you want the best animals let Ethan focus on finding them for you and not let him worry about you keeping up.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had the most fantastic experience with Ethan at Top of The Lake Guiding at the weekend. A mate and I booked the Full Day Venison Meat Hunt with the objectives of getting out into amazing countryside that Queenstown has to offer, stalking and shooting a deer each, learning how to field butcher our kills and carrying it out. All those boxes, and then some, were well and truly ticked. Ethan has years of knowledge and experience, coupled with a real passion for guiding and hunting, as well as the utmost respect for the animals, and your health and safety. Ethan and Milly, his super smart deer sniffing dog, were a delight to spend the day with. All in all, a great day out that I'll remember for a long time, or at least till the next time we head out with Ethan, which will be soon after the venison steaks, sausages and mince in the freezer have been finished!
