★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Don’t buy things on Trade me! Buyer Protection is a slogan only it won’t protect buyer at all! I paid by Ping and got a FAKE item from a dishonest seller a month ago. I have filed dispute report immediately but now Trade me Trust and Safety team just fob me off and didn’t want to resolve my refund. They didn’t reply me over a week only replied me after I complainants a lots to other portals. Emailed me they’re still waiting seller’s reply. What a joke! The scammer seller just want to avoid his responsibility he won’t reply to me or Trade me ok? Now they don’t want to answer my question: when can this be resolved and the FAKE rubbish is still occupied my room I couldn’t throw it away. Terrible communication and customer service, don’t trust Buyer Protection even you paid by Ping. They encourage scammer fraud other poor buyers and takes no responsibility.
Update (changed to 2 stars due to issue resolved) : After one month countless emails back and forth with Trust and Safety team, the 2nd agent at last helped me and provided full refund. Seller never replied my email till he found the payment has been reverted and asked me to return the item. Thank god he awakes after I wasted so much time. Not a good experience at all. I will say Trade me is the No choice option in NZ so be careful before you buy something on it.
