★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Finding out Travellers Autobarn had vans in Australia and NZ made it a no brainer to book a van with them.
We did a 2 week trip in Australia and then 1 week in New Zealand, both were equally amazing. We rented a Kuga Campervan in both places and it delivered the goods. Comfortable on the road, plenty of space for all our gear and loads of equipment to make the nights comfortable and the dinners delicious.
Can't wait to book the next trip!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Me and my friend decided to do a tour through New Zealand. We searched for different companies offering camper vans. Since we were not 21years or older we chose Travellers Autobarn for a affordable pricing without any extra fees for young drivers.
The staff was nice and friendly as we got it in Auckland and also brought it back in Auckland.
We were able to drive and had a nice trip. The only negative point was the bad isolation, so it got pretty cold inside the van in the nights on the south island.
We asked them to look after it and maybe fix this.

What makes Travellers Autobarn unique, is not only their friendly and professional attitude, but their state of the art new fleet of campers. When we arrived we were treated like family. Mike, the Auckland manager was extremely helpful and full of ideas tailored to our curious nature. The Kuga, (campervan) is of a high quality fitout and can come with all the bells and whistles. The table packs away easily and the mattress was super comfortable. If you need lots of space for your gear, there is plenty of storage in the above compartments. Definitely going to use Travellers Autobarn again. Thanks guys. Was an absolute pleasure.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Van was awesome - shame its run by people who are completely incompetent.
Day we went to pick up the van we were rushed out and not shown anything about the van (leading to a couple of very confused holiday goers trying to work everything out), from day 2 of our trip we were then bombarded with emails about remembering to return the van (??).
Went to drop off Van after hours, seemed like someone had tried to break into the lock box outside as it was broken and would not close properly, meaning we would be leaving the keys and our van (plus others that had been dropped off also with keys in there) to be easily stolen.
Not wanting to be liable, we sat there on the phone for over an hour trying to explain the issue we were having. They did not seem to care, wanted us to take the van home for another night "free of charge" (have to pay to keep the gad full on return though, so NOT free at all). After an hour of going back and forth with people on the phone we threw all the van keys we had through an open bathroom window and left.
We are now being stung with a $17 fee as the vans gas was not completely full on return - considering the amount of harassment and problems we had picking up/returning the vehicle I think they can swallow a $17 gas bill. Would have cost them more to have multiple vans stolen if it wasn't for us.
Shame shame shame.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The van itself was brilliant, however, the customer service was a huge let down.
We were not shown anything in the van upon pick up and were bombarded with van return emails a day after we left.
We were advised in person that we could return the van any time on Wednesday as they were closed and to leave the keys in the lockbox. Upon arrival the lockbox was busted and I was able to access the keys to other vans - I rang the company and was on hold for 45 minutes and was finally put through to the branch employee who did not seem to care if they keys were available to anyone coming through.
They asked if we wanted the van for another night free of charge but then charged us $17 for fuel even though we didn't take it for an extra night, but if we did it wouldn't have been free of charge as they would have charged for fuel (??)

I see you've replied to the below - you said you would return the $17 if i delete this comment - i said keep the $17 and now you reply and refund? not about the $17 - defo about the service and attitude!

They were quite accomodating with the no-touch late pick up and early drop off and the campervan itself drove well with no mechanical issues. Overall, would recommend to people looking to get out and explore!
