WCU is owned by the husband and wife team of Peter and Dorothy. For those of you who know and have interacted with Peter and Dorothy, you’ll know that the business reflects their values in every sense of the word. Peter and Dorothy have built the business up on good old fashioned values that centre on fairness, outstanding quality of work, a promise to deliver on time and rock solid customer service. When starting out Peter having finished his apprenticeship and spending 8 years working for others he decided to start out on his own. He left to start Waikumete Car Upholstery with just 1 weeks’ worth of jobs on hand that was 50 years ago and now the second generation is coming through ready to continue the tradition of this family owned business.

they customised the shape of the seats exactly as i wanted and the fit and finish of the fully custom interior is excellent.
The guys have done a few jobs for me over the years and its great to deal with a team of people who have a vast experience and can advise on anything you might need help with.
i will definitely be using their services again for an upcoming project, i cant recommend these guys highly enough!

They were not the cheapest quote but I went with them because the service was much better than other businesses from my first inquiry. Firstly, they seemed enthusiastic to do the job. Secondly, they gave me confidence they knew what was involved and would get it done right.
The end result was a factory new condition headlining. The job was charged exactly as quoted and finished the same day. I couldn't be happier with the service and the quality of their work.
