The accommodation is perfect, clean, comfortable and spacious.
The food is great - you have not lived until you have tried one of their pies. Legend!
The staff is friendly and helpful.
We keep going back - it's our home in the Maniototo.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had a meal here tonight, the lamb shoulder to share, absolutely tender & tasty, served on a wooden platter with a really great selection of beautiful veges, including roast potatoes & a jug of gravy. Couldn't ask for more... 10 out of 10.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great pub meals. Really nice chicken and chorizo as well as other meals. But get there early, we arrived at 6 on a Thursday evening, 15 minutes later all the tables were taken.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Such amazing hospitality and the pies are delicious and very filling. We ended up staying here unexpectedly and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Mark and his staff went out of their way to give us a locals welcome. This is a delightful country hotel and well worth stopping at to enjoy some real local hospitality. Thanks Mark to you and your staff for making us so welcome

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have had a beer and burger at the pub before but this time I stayed overnight. It was great; I had a room outside with private bathroom. The room was very very clean and tidy with plenty of bedding as it was cold. I ate at the pub and had a terrific burger. I am GF and the host was very aware of requirements for allergies of this nature. All-in-all a very very good stay. Highly recommended
