Housed within Foxglove Bar & Kitchen on Wellington’s waterfront, sits WOLF.
Inspired by New York’s opulent steak restaurants, WOLF by Foxglove is a contemporary and carnivorous twist on a traditional concept.
The carefully curated menu celebrates the finest cuts of locally sourced New Zealand beef and sustainable seafood with a wide variety of signature sides perfectly designed to accompany your feast.
Every dish has been developed to devour by Foxglove’s head chef, Jigar Rajput, with the aid of group culinary experts Len Baldwin and Terry Morgan. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We really enjoyed our time at Wolf. The service was excellent. Our waitress Abbie was particularly helpful and attentive. The food was delicious, so were the drinks. I recommend to order a drink from the cocktail cart. We will definitely come back again. :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Honestly I have eaten at every top rated Auckland restaurant. And Wolf by foxglove has achieved the perfect service and meal. I'm actually a little sad as it has raised the bar so high that I'd be very surprised if I ever eat another meal any where near to this standard. Caitlin our waitress was unbelievable and from start to finish was blown away.
Thank you Wellington will remember this trip forever. Xx

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Came here for lunch on a Sunday. The waitress was excellent. The food not so. My partner and myself shared some plates - note we did NOT have steak, which perhaps is the main theme of the place. The duck croquettes were flavourless. The Mac n cheese needed salt…otherwise bland. The broccolini was inedible. Fried chicken was bog standard - nothing special.
Given how quiet it was, a 30 minute wait for these plates seemed a long time, and given the cost of the dishes would have expected better.

Pros:
Waitress was so lovely!
Mac and Cheese - never had Mac and Cheese that tasted like that.
The Wagyu beef burgers were a hit
Cons:
Wait time was significant
One of our party ordered the duck breast to which he immediately regretted because of the very tiny portion.
Two of our party got the King Prawn spaghetti, one of them got 3 and the other got 4 prawns - also a small portion.
I would go again to order a steak next time, but it's not a place I would suggest as a priority if someone asked for a restaurant recommendation.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent steak restaurant, go there for the meat "wolf", great location. The staff was remarkably friendly, the service was a bit patchy but overall the experience was great. The steak was tasty, accompanied by gourmet potatoes, broccolini with béarnaise. Delicious desserts and presentation in a nice ambiance. Nice cocktails and wine selection.
