β β β β β Great location, lots of different activities, place could really use a renovation, bedrooms and bathrooms aren't that pleasant.

β β β β β Idealistic setting for time away from the city. Very good quality buildings, lovely outlook even a lake.

β β β β β This place could definitely do with some serious sprucing up:
Sleeping quarters are extremely basic - cinder block rooms with hard bunks and nothing else - the mattresses might be OK for kids but all adults groaned after the first night.
A tiny bathroom with 1 toilet, basin and shower - share between 2 cabins of 5 - i.e. 10 people sharing 1 bathroom/toilet - also the bathrooms are covered in mold top to bottom - definitely not what I would call clean and also not something that the "cleaning" they get the kids to at the end of camp could ever fix.
The dining hall is large and noisy - the acoustics of the place make it impossible to hold a conversation once it is fully occupied. The food provided was decidedly uninspired with the sequence of wraps, buns, burgers and hot dogs - all with the same selection of diy fillings (lettuce, carrots, tomatoes, cheese, mayo) - I started to suspect that the cooking equipment in the kitchen was largely decorative.
They do have some nice activities set up - super fox, giant swing and high ropes however instructor quality varies greatly. Some of them are quite young and while proficient at the technical aspects don't provide much of a learning experience for the kids. They also have a couple of ponds for kayaking and sliding/swimming at the bottom of the property but the water looks muddy brown and stagnant and I would question its suitability for human contact - let alone full submersion!!

β β β β β The camp site in general is excellent. Facilities big enough for large groups with an easy layout. Only down fall is the (lack of) heating. The small panel heater on the wall doesnβt do much. Otherwise an excellent camp ground.

β β β β β Great facility. We had our company Christmas party day here. The activities were great, as were the staff. The catering was excellent as well. It's not a flash place, but that didn't matter for us. We really enjoyed our day here.

β β β β β I am so impressed with the turn around since I was last here 4 years ago. The food and accommodation have improved. But better still how efficient they have become. They need to be a bit more flexible on how their guest schools also need to operate. But that will come I am sure.
Very impressed!
