β β β β β Really nice food and friendly service. Maybe some more non-alc drinks (like beers) would be good, but can't really complain otherwise. The whole family enjoyed their meals.
Edit: went again for Mother's Day, non-alcs on the menu. (Maybe I missed them the first time.) Kaiapoi is very lucky having places like this.

β β β β β I have recently moved to Kaiapoi and wanted Indian takeaways last night so thought I'd try here. I was very disappointed with the chicken curry as there was hardly any chicken in it and the sauce was very runny. I will be trying the well-rated Silverstream Indian restaurant next time. I note someone else posted the same comments in a previous review and unfortunately it seems nothing has changed.

β β β β β Excellent, top effort guys. Iβve been eating hot spicy foods for 35 years plus and all over the world. Their Kadai, well Iβm lost for words. Best ever vegetarian curry Iβve ever had. Service was fast and very welcoming. I pre ordered as my local Indian could provide me with an aloo gobi. Googled these guys and boooom what a find. No going back. AzafrΓ‘n is my new home from βΊοΈ

β β β β β The best Indian and souvlaki in Waimakariri! Always perfectly cooked, deliciously fresh, tasty and hot. Friendly service and great quality for money. Tried the molten chocolate cake tonight and it was so yummy. I love recommending zaafran to my friends and family the last few years and will keep sharing the word of amazing food. β β β β β Awesome wee restaurant located in kaiapoi. Absolutely loved coming here and will definitely be coming back to Zaafran specifically for my souvlaki fix.
Delicious, fresh food with a variety of options including vegetarian, a friendly dine-in atmosphere and clean premises.
Absolutely just perfect.

A restaurant that does many meals and does them all great.
The freshest salad I've had in a long time.
Really enjoyable meals had by all who attended.
We were warned of the wait due to a lot of orders coming in before we ordered. Was so worth the wait.

β β β β β We ate here last Saturday and the meal was amazing. Service great, friendly staff. We said we like spicy and ordered the garlic prawn sizzlers for starters which had just the right amount of spice added and dipped in the sauce they were heavenly! We then had mixed chicken and lamb souvlakis, mine in a bowl and my daughterβs wrapped and hand held. Both were so fresh and lovely. Canβt wait to go back again.
If you havenβt been please give it a go. Itβs a hidden gem! By the way I had already eaten half the prawns before I took this photo!! I couldnβt help myself!
