★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Chinese dishes are always half packed. Can get cheaper elsewhere and fill my container. First Chinese restaurant that puts whole tomatoes in their sweet and sour pork. More pineapple than pork. Sadly a year ago I ordered fish and chips for a large group. Sadly one friend broke q tooth finding out there were 13 stones in a spring roll. How I don't know!!?!! This place is deteriorating over the 7 years I've lived in kaiapoi. Not going back there again. Thats it

Greasy/oily rice and noodles which lacked the smokiness and depth of flavour properly "wok cooked" Chinese food is meant to have.
Better more authentic options exist elsewhere.
Won't return.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We've been coming to Kaikanui Chinese Restaurant for over 20 years. Fantastic food and a great selection too. We had Sweet n sour pork, pan fried dumplings and chips. And they deliver outside of Kaiapoi. A++++
