Fresh towels and tea and coffee each day.
BUT
we stayed for 5 nights and no cleaning was done in that time. The carpets were a mess and under the bed hadn't been vacumed in weeks.
However the room rate was very reasonable and our room at the back was quiet.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Okay, so I have reviewed this place already. But I feel it worth it to add another positive review after my last few stays.
Have stayed at 162 many times now. It's fairly short drive from the airport makes it a convenient overnight halt for me.
The rooms are well appointed and clean. The owner is a absolute delight to deal with, his customer service is above and beyond. Showers have great pressure, rooms are toasty and warm, and beds comfortable with quality linen. Full Sky TV offered, and the motel is across the road from the Westfield mall.
Waking up in a motel on Christmas morning is never fun, but I was glad I was staying at 162!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent! A very warm welcome, shown to room personally, turned on my heat pump (need that in winter!) consistent service throughout stay, very polite and gracious hosts. Room, comfortable, secure, rates, excellent value for money, location, close to the mall, parking on site ~ highly recommend ~ will be back! Thanks ?

My 5 year old dropped her banana on the driveway which i did not see and her father picked up after the fact when we had noticed, then later that day was asked to vacate with no warning as he believed that wasn't pleasant for other people staying there. I had booked this place weeks in advance as my partner is staying here for work. I asked for a room big enough for 3 children and 1 adult as my partner already had his room established. We were given a studio room with one double bed in it to share. Room was tiny, majority of sky channels did not work, and no Heater or heat pump to keep warm in this christchurch weather.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was a last minute booking that I was so glad I made. I was after sometime that had parking for a truck near by, and food. This tucked all the boxes.
I got an average room and while not huge, had everything that I needed. AC, tv (limited sky channels), fridge, etc. And I loved the shower/bath. Huge and a soda bath at that.
