★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Rude rude rude customer service I'll go to g.i or new Lynn or anywhere but here again. Let someone push in front of me no acknowledgement I was even standing there and when I spoke up she was like "you were on the phone" how does that equate to not being in the line?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I always thought that Animates is just expensive pet shop and it works out better to shop online. Wrong!
If you are good at shopping you can find deals better than online. And the staff is beyond helpful and nice, you won't get that online. Also signed up for repeating food delivery which worked out the cheapest out of the whole NZ Internet!
Your pet will get a nice treat from the staff and overall just love this place now.
Got (more as a joke) lady bug poncho for $2! And would buy wrong size harness if it wouldn't be for a great lady who works there and who helped a lot.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went to the store yesterday to buy some puppy food. Bought Royal Canin and the store had an offer of free storage container over 7kg. We thought thats a good offer. We forgot to ask at the time and next day when contacted they said they are out of stock and it's only when stocks last. Not impressed at all becoz if you are out of stock why display and mis lead people and not tell us at the time of buying we could check with other stores. If you pride on good customer service than this clearly isn't. Lost one loyal customer.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Got some straws for our guinea pigs. No animal to look at. This store used to sell dogs, cats and birds. Not selling life fish. However, you can bring your dog to wonder in the shop. I guess it is because the shop provide grooming service to dogs. The place is big. Well stock. Animates is opening during public holidays.
