About The Coffee Club Lunn Avenue

From a single store, which opened in November 1989 at Brisbane’s Eagle Street Pier, to more than 300 cafes throughout Australia, 65 in New Zealand, 60 in Thailand, 30 in the UAE, and cafes in Maldives, Indonesia, Cambodia, Vietnam and China. The Coffee Club has established itself as an iconic household name and preferred venue for millions of coffee drinkers throughout the Asia Pacific region. We now employ more than 6,000 employees and serve more than 40 million coffees annually in our 400 plus cafes globally.

The Coffee Club New Zealand has a strong presence in Auckland but you’ll also find our cafes in many regional areas including Hamilton, Tauranga, Hastings, Palmerston North, Wellington, Christchurch, Dunedin, Queenstown, Taupo, Rotorua, Warkworth and Cambridge.

Despite our name, The Coffee Club is about much more than just excellent coffee.  At The Coffee Club you’ll find a large range of breakfast, lunch and dinner meals available at any time of the day. So if you want bacon and eggs at 4pm or a gourmet beef burger at 10am, it’s no trouble at The Coffee Club. As long as we are open we are serving our full menu!

The Coffee Club offers two types of dining experiences; a fully licensed, extended hours Cafe Bar Restaurant with full table service and an extended menu, and a Cafe store, which is typically located in high pedestrian areas and shopping centres and focuses on all-day light meals, breakfasts and snacks with counter service. As well as a comprehensive menu, we also offer a large variety of impossible-to-resist sweets including cakes, slices, muffins and biscuits and, of course, Excellent Coffee with The Coffee Club Signature Blend!

With cooperative efforts to promote more socially responsible corporate policies, The Coffee Club is constantly offering support and funding to local communities and schools and contributing to environmental initiatives. Each year, The Coffee Club New Zealand raises over $100,000 in charity donations towards beneficiaries such as KidsCan, SPCA New Zealand, local communities and schools.

From the feeling of your first sip coffee in the morning, to the joy of sharing a laugh over a meal with best friends, to a moment of pure indulgence as you take that first bite of heavenly chocolate cake, it all starts with a feeling. It is your happy place and it all takes place at The Coffee Club. Your happy place.

Been here a number of times. This visit I had pizza, was nice! Base was nice light and crisp, topping tasty. Coffee was good, nice temperature, not too hot and not warm.

We’ve been coming here for ages and they’ve always been great, but recently the management changed and standards have gone way down. We’ve been back a few times since then to give them a chance because it’s understandable that there would be some teething problems with new staff, but there has been no improvement. This most recent visit (and our last, we will not be going back) was ridiculous, we just ordered 4 hot drinks and a couple of muffins to eat in, plus a takeaway meal. In fairness to the kitchen staff, the takeaway meal came out very quickly, the problem was with the rest of the order. It took probably 10 minutes for 2 of the drinks to get to us, another 5 minutes after that for the last 2 drinks, at which point we reminded them about the muffins. Another few minutes passed and still no muffins, so we went up to remind them again, another few minutes passed and they finally had our muffins sitting on the counter but no-one brought them over. We finally just went up and grabbed them ourselves, but it’s absolutely absurd to wait 20 minutes for something that was already prepared and just had to be heated up and put on a plate. My recommendation is to steer clear of this place if you are looking for prompt service.

We ate here for lunch on Wednesday the 21/04/21 at 12.40pm . I had the Crispy chicken strip and bacon burger with a side order of fries. I also had a Flatwhite coffee. The meal arrived promptly but being a chain restaurant it was nothing outstanding. What does differentiate this restaurant from others in the chain is the staff, they are really pleasn't and friendly whilst remaining professional. The restaurant itself is very clean and tidy. It is very roomy larger in fact to most others in the chain with ample tables and chairs even during peak periods. There are great views of Mt Wellington.
