We are happy to assist with any questions you may have about touring New Zealand and try to make your motorcycle rental experience as easy as possible. We can arrange airport transfers before and after your tour.
We also appreciate that you have traveled a long way to get to New Zealand and may arrive tired and jet lagged. We are happy to arrange accommodation for you on your first night. Maraetai is a very beautiful location and we have some great accommodation facilities near by.
Staying in Maraetai for your first night will allow you to not only enjoy this special location, but pick up the bike on the day of your arrival so you can familiarize yourself with the bike, pack the motorcycle at your leisure and be ready to start your tour the next day.
Any excess luggage can be safely stored in our office free of charge

Where We Are
Auckland Motorbike Hire is located 30 minutes drive from Auckland International Airport in the beautiful coastal suburb of Maraetai.
Maraetai Is A Small Seaside Community Located On The Pohutukawa Coast. On Picking Up Your Bike The First Roads You Will Encounter Are Quiet Country Or Coastal Roads Free Of City Traffic Congestion Making The Start Of Your Journey Relaxing And Enjoyable.
This is an ideal place to start your New Zealand motorcycle tour. Once leaving our premises you are immediately riding a beautiful coastal road free of city traffic. This is popular motorcycle route with Auckland motorcyclists as it is the start of the scenic route that will take you to the Coromandel Peninsula - a must visit destination no matter how long your stay is!
Getting to us is easy. If you are staying in the central city there is a ferry service leaving from the Downtown Ferry Terminal that brings you to Pine Harbour (week days only), an enjoyable 30 minute ferry ride that follows Auckland's eastern shoreline. Once at Pine Harbour we will pick you up and bring you to our home base.
From Auckland airport I can arrange a transfer to bring you directly to pick up the motorcycle.

He outfitted the bike with extra storage, provided shuttle service to and from the airport, advised on route selection, and was instrumental in transitioning for departure.

β β β β β From beginning to end hassle free!! First off the bike was in tip top shape. The Yam is perfect for the roads I encountered and would be good two up as well. The bike selection is good if this not your type of bike. Randal the owner was super helpful with a route for me, tips on where to eat etc. Bags, and other equipment are all available and in good condition. He even helped me find transport out to his place. Only downside is the non central location, however it is a beautiful ferry ride out there. If I go back to the North Island I will rent here again! No hesitation in recommending.

Nice guy with a lot of bikes, I driving the Suzuki storm, price for one day with clothes about 180$ without clothes 140$ absolutely worth it! See a lot of nice places where I cannot go with a car!

β β β β β On a short notice, Randal was able to offer us 2 ADV bikes. With a limited time we had, he recommended an awesome day touring to Coromandel. Great riding through twisties with splendid sceneries!! We stayed in the city and hopped on an Auckland-Pine ferry to reach Pine Harbour(a short 30min ride), where Randal came and picked us up. We would certainly be back to explore more of NZ!! Bikes are in tip top condition and again, we thank Randal for accommodating us in such a short.notice!

β β β β β Highly recommended. Knowledgeable staff, bikes well maintained and well looked after. Great advice on routes etc and the perfect spot to begin your journey. You ride straight into prefect scenic routes, great access to Coromandel loop. I was concerned about the rental not starting at the airport but the ride out to get the bike from the airport by the owner is a much smarter idea! Don't waste your km arguing with auckland city traffic, its a no brainer. I'll be a return customer for sure.

β β β β β We are from Canada, and were fortunate to be able to spend an amazing 2 weeks touring the north and south islands on a Yamaha Super Tenere rented from Randal. The bike was in great shape, very well equipped with everything needed, and did not let us down. Randal was also extremely helpful with planning routes, and suggestions of what not to miss. We were not disappointed. We highly recommend renting from Randal, definitely 5 stars from the beginning to the end of our trip.

β β β β β We hired two Mt09 Yamaha bikes for a seven day 3500klm trip of the North Island. Randall arranged pick up from Airport and return to airport motel on completion.
Bikes were immaculately prepared and never missed a beat . This country is amazing and Randall's knowledge of it is as equally amazing.
Do yourself a favour and rent some bikes from a bike rider who knows how to prep and maintain a bike and have a blast -- We did

β β β β β Randal and Iris provided a 5 stars service indeed. Excellent range of motorbikes able to fit any biker's size and taste. My motorbike (BMWF800GS) was almost new, very well equipped and perfectly prepared for the trip (900 k around Cape Coromandel : highly recommended drive!!!). An absolutely hassle-free experience, to be recommended. Transfer to /from Airport and accomodation in Mataerai was a great bonus.
