β β β β β Got them to do a wheel alignment today. They printed on the invoice that my car battery was "bad and needed replacing" I telephoned to double check the information and was advised that the car battery would "probably die within the next 2 weeks - 2 months". Alarmed, I called the AA because they replaced the battery just 2 years ago. AA came out and ran a proper diagnostic test on the battery and said it had a good 3-4 years left, and there was absolutely nothing wrong with the battery at all. I have a very detailed battery diagnostic print out in my possession. The AA battery guy told me that this wasn't the first time that he had been called out by alarmed and anxious customers who had been advised by Beaurepaires that they needed new batteries. Can I suggest that Beaurepaires just stick to tyres and not battery diagnostics if you don't know what you are talking about. Or perhaps check your battery diagnostic equipment is fit for purpose. You wasted my time and the AA's time today.
Updated to add that as requested below, I did email Beaurepaires at the email address given in their response but they have never responded.

β β β β β I had an appointment with this business at 8.00am. I turn up 5 minutes before hand and the business was closed although the staff were inside the building. As there were no other customer cars waiting, I parked outside the roller doer expecting that when they opened, I could drive my car in for the new tyres to be fitted. When the roller door opened, a staff member waved his hand at me, indicating to drive away from the door. There was no verbal communication at all. I did expect someone to greet me good morning, ask who i was and explain the situation. Instead the fellow at the door became more agitated in his actions getting me to move, indicating then that he needed to move his ute. I shifted my car, but there was no acknowledgement of thanks and no greeting. I walked into the office ( I didnt have my mask on - I had forgotten it) and the office guy literally shoo'ed me out the door, asking me to stand outside. I did. After waiting 10 minutes, he came outside and asked if I was the client they were expecting and I confirmed that I was. He confirmed the job and said it would be an hour. Checked my phone number and advised that they would call when it was finished. I went to a local cafe to wait for them to call. After an hour and 15 minutes, I had not heard from them, I had no number to ring them, so i walked back to see if the car was ready. It was, but they had failed to call me. It may have been completed in an hour like they said, but how would I know. The office guy invited me into the office to pay. I said that i wasnt happy going in - if it wasnt good enough when I was booking in, why is it ok when you pay. We did the transaction outside. I asked about the wheel alignment, he couldnt tell me. said it was on the printout in the car. I wouldnt have a clue what the printout says - a quick conversation on it would have been more beneficial.
Getting tyres fitted and a wheel alignment done, is the same where ever you go. The difference is if you feel valued as a customer and appreciated. With these guys there is no service or good customer experience. They are just doing a job. If that is all you want - great. If you want to feel that you are appreciated, have some pleasantries with the people you deal with and go away feeling good even though you just just parted with $1,600.00, then go somewhere else.
