β β β β β I rescued a wee hatchling starling from my stable floor, I raised it for 18 days and then after a hard decision I took it to the Bird Centre as I knew they could properly wean it. I grew very attached, sounds silly but it was an amazing experience. Thank you so much for taking it in. I'm so glad there is a place we can take birds to in Auckland.

β β β β β What a lovely place for rescued wildlife, and the staff were so wonderful, so glad i found them or poor bird would have died . Thank You to all you volunteers, yous deserve funding but sadly no, survive on donations, which i will be doing.

β β β β β I saved this little guy in Titirangi road - his leg was injured. Called up the BirdCare Centre and they told me to drop him between 10-11. Really friendly service and appreciate that they could take him in. They even gave me a reference number so I can call on his status.

β β β β β My cat brought me a baby pigeon but in perfect condition so I called Bird are Aotearoa and a friendly staff member answered the phone saying just bring the bird. When you arrive you have a sense this is a special place . Everybody is volunteers and there is a vet on site daily. They really are passionate about helping the birds and you see that. You can give a donation if you want but its not compulsory. There is also an option to be a volunteer yourself. what a special place worth supporting and make sure it gets the funding they need to take care of the bird life. If you find a bird in need please take it to Birdcare Aotearoa and give the birds a place to heal recover and set free. So happy that too see that small at of kindness to birds go along way. Thank you for doing an amazing job.
