β β β β β A really friendly lodge within an easy commute of Mt Hutt. The only slight niggle would be the room heaters are on a one hour timer but they're very quick to heat up.

β β β β β Might be decent in the summer/spring, but in winter it was always freezing, rooms were comfortable enough, but not much for the price. Kitchen is iffy, especially if you have more than 3 or 4 people in it at a time. WiFi is NOT free, it is 50 dollars for a month access, and is VERY slow. Be warned about that. Parking is limited, but plenty of on-street parking is available. Facilities are nice enough, but the owners were not enjoyable to deal with, very sour people unfortunately.

β β β β β We had a delightful stay at Breckenridge - Marek and Cathie were lovely and knowledgeable hosts. The lodge was beautifully clean and extremely comfortable. Tasty breakfast and the fire was roaring in the common area every afternoon/evening. Kitchen is well set up and for a short walk, you can make the most of all the eateries and shops in Methven.
It all made for a lovely lodge and to top it off, ski bus collects and returns you to the front door.
