★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice friendly staff...seemed very short staffed as took a while to get food at final window...the tray/counter at window was covered in ANTS, and the food below average, cold soggy fries, burgers so squashed that we had a hard time working out which was which & the wrapper on one was disintegrating...the flavour is always great...but would be nice if staff where a little nicer to the food they were putting in the bag as looked like ours had been thrown in there!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We went to the Burger King because it was less busy than the neighbouring McDonald's and was right next to the ChargeNet Hyperchargers my electric car was charging on. The burgers are usually better (totally subjective) in our opinion.
The staff were friendly and helpful. There was a perspex screen at the till. Masks were required. We scanned in using the Covid app. The restaurant was nearly empty so social distancing wasn't a problem. The men's toilet was clean. Always a plus.
Outside the restaurant they have several tables with tops made of wooden strips fixed to a metal undertop. Most of them were falling apart. The varnish had long ago faded / rotted away and the wooden strips were either gone or coming loose or soon will. It wasn't hard to tell these have been in bad shape for months at the very least. But we didn't sit outside - partly due to this - so it didn't affect us.
The current decor inside is spare and functional. It's a long way from the 50s retro look that had been standard in NZ Burger Kings for a decade. I guess it's easier and cheaper to maintain. It felt more like a small town takeaway with seats outfitted on a tight budget. Nothing wrong with that. Just very different to the previous look.
The burgers drinks were fine. We enjoyed them. I don't eat the chips, so had a triple whopper with a salad.
Four stars. Easy.....if you don't want to sit outside.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The place was pretty disgusting. We were there for like 20 minutes and two tables of eaten food were left there the whole time we were there, and before we even arrived. The floors were covered in trash.
Food was ok, but still recommend going to the McDonald's next door.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tbh I like burger King a lot but when I went to it today I had the worst customer service ever! Now I'm not hatter but it took them over an hour to say to go through the drive through so my advice put a sign next time. Overall I liked everything except for the bad customer service

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the female staff had such fantastic customer service, that I had to tell her.
She deserved a pay rise and a promotion.
The store itself is very tired looking and does need a spruce up.
I wouldn't recommend the non beef patty as it was awful.
