β β β β β Quite good although they had run out of any items on the lunch menu plus their customer service is not so good, people and groups who arrives after us got their food first.

β β β β β Dish around 15$, enough for 2 people to share. Large portions. Many ppl pack their leftovers. Free chicken soup served. Tastes good but i wish they would have some chili sauce. Feel like local chinese restaurant.

β β β β β I was fairly sceptical when my co-worker was saying this place has the best good roast duck when we were heading there for lunch. It was full and so we shared one of the larger tables with strangers, which is common in Asia. The menu had quite a lot of standard dishes like fried noodles and fried rice but we were there for the duck so I had a 2 BBQ combination on rice for $13.80. The roast duck was actually quite nice but I thought that the star of the place was the char siu pork. It was crispy and sticky and was quite sweet. Once you had a piece you wanted more. Portions weren't too bad either.
I have been told that their other dishes were quite average but I haven't tried it so can't say but I know that the BBQ meats here are top notch. Probably my favourite char siu in Auckland but I've had marginally better roast duck elsewhere.

β β β β β Authentic Cantonese cuisine And atmosphere.
Wontons are big and plump full of pork and prawn, with some vegetables stock.
Three roast meats hit the spot perfectly roasted, delicious portion.
Brasied Brisket was ave, but huge portion.
And free soup when you are seated
Not great service 1*
Will definitely come again and try rest of menu.

β β β β β Would very much 6 star this if possible.
The value for money was better than anywhere I have considering the size and quality of the dishes. We got a free soup which I was dubious on from another review but was assured was free so why not. This was a relatively simple broth but very tasty!
There wasn't much by way of table service whicih might not be for everyone, but it was easy to get someone's attention if you needed something. I prefer the space and would rather pay for quality meals than regular table visits.
The dishes you in the photos see were $14 and $15 and are larger than normal dishes I have seen elsewhere. Plus we had the free soup, oh and free tea. All up $29 and we had nearly a full takeaway dish to bring home.
***One thing that may be of important note, there's a book menu and there's a laminated sheet menu, which we ordered off. I noted the prices were very different, not sure what that was about but would make a big difference in value!
Also, some said they wish there was chilli sauce to use, they have it in the cabinet just ask.

β β β β β The man who served us really rude and had terrible customer service! He didn't even say hello when we came in, instead threw some menus at a table and rudely waved us over to the table. He also make rude and impatient comments as we read the menu. As we waited for our food, he continued to speak rudely and impatiently to an elderly couple, raising his voice and gesturing about rudely. However when a well-dressed lady came in, he disgustingly all smiles and polite to her! Lastly, after all our food came out, he told my partner his dish couldn't be made and he has to order something else. It seems ridiculous that he waited until all the other dishes were made to tell us! The only saving grace was the food tasted good so kudos to the chef. But sorry, definitely not going back to that restaurant! The wait staff was far too rude to and uncomfortable to be around.

β β β β β The sweet and sour pork here is not like any other you (pakeha) have tried. It is so authentic and tastes incredible. Meals are large and filling. The duck is gorgeous too. Service is really good.

β β β β β Just like most Cantonese grilled restaurants there is no modern design, they make living with special grill technic.
I love the chicken topping up the spring onions and ginger paste.
Good portion of food service, you will definitely be fed up.
Very famous venue in Newmarket when you are craving for Cantonese grilled meats.
