★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This company was the 5th NZ company I rang up to ask for a quote and turnaround time for the replacement for my my Macbook battery - surely a standard question....
However...unlike all the other companies I rang they refused to offer any information because "it depends on the technical assessment". While I understand that costs may vary once they open the machine up, I asked even if we assume that nothing else needed to be done (as indicated by per my visit to an actual Apple store in Sydney the previous week with diagnostics performed) they still would not give any indication of the costs or turnaround time!! I even asked if they wanted my serial number so they could determine the exact details of my machine to help with their "assessment".
Are we expected to just hand over our laptop and without any idea of costs or turnaround time?
Not sure how this company operates as an Apple repair centre in NZ - unless all their customers do not care about price or length of time to repair!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent service, staff informed me of the Consumer Guarantees Act and ensured that even though my place of purchase had given me a 1-year warranty for my Apple device, Connect ensured that my device would be covered as all goods have a 3 year warranty. Very prompt assessments and very clear service.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Waiting for my phone to be repaired or replaced, an insurance claim. Terrible communication so far. No communication for a week after claim lodged, finally phoned my insurance company who followed up. Took another week for courier box for phone to arrive. Dropped phone off instead to try and speed up process informed the phone would be sent to Wellington - why they can't assess this in Auckland who knows. Another week now and still no communication...no idea if phone has made it to Wellington or how much longer this will take..so 3 weeks so far with no update that I haven't initiated...and terrible contact hours only week days.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wholly unsatisfactory service for anyone who lives rurally. Didn't take any security considerations seriously. Asked for the new power supply but then wanted the original power supply. Have not responded with when my SDD / power supply will be returned and fobbed me off to the insurer without sending the report they promised. Plus they can't even get their website to link to google maps.
UPDATE
Connect NZ have reached out and resolved the issues above. It is fair to say that some of the delay and responsibility rests with the insurer

The whole team at connect NZ is so amazing! In one week they recommended options, ordered parts, and fixed my laptop. I genuinely think this is the best electronic servicing company I’ve ever tried.
