★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's two days before Christmas and my aircon desperately needed, a new pipe as the discharge hose was completely had it, the dessicant bag and the cabin filter. A four hour ish job and they (Coolcar) were already so busy and under the pump, fully booked.
However Ryan and his team remained so professional, slick with efficiency, kind, friendly, polite, and generous with their dealings with me.
They even had to stay late in the evening to complete my car for me and even gave me a great zippy little courtesy car overnight, easy as, nothing was a problem!
They took the time to educate me so I felt confident and reassured and now I have clarity for the future on how to maintain this aspect of my Subaru Outback moving forward.
Thanks again Ryan and to your very professional team that you run in such grace. Now my rescue puppy can have a much safer Christmas car experience when we have to take her out. And when I am driving in my silk gowns, and suits to officiate weddings in the heat of wedding season, i won't arrive wilted in any way.
I am incredible fussy around professionalism and efficiency when it comes to service, and i will continue to HIGHLY RECOMMEND Ryan and his crew any day for any Car Aircon requirements.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dropped in to seek advise on my old 1994 3500V6 Pajero yesterday as the drainage out of the aircon was pouring into the vehicle. Ryan greeted me with a smile and straight away explained the problem. A courtesy car was made available so we could complete our food shopping. One hour later we returned, vehicle sorted, and all with a smile. Many New Zealand businesses could adopt Coolcar's model on how to look after their customers. Very fair pricing and they also checked out the aircon gas pressures for peace of mind. Highly Recommended.Gerard and Vangie Aalders Auckland.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Floyd quickly diagnosed the cause of the noisy compressor to be caused by oil and refrigerant leakage from a tiny crack in the condenser. Then, at 1:30pm on a Friday, he told me he could get the parts and have the work completed within two hours ... and was true to his word. A/C is whisper quiet again, parts and labour carry 12 months /20,000km warranty. Excellent service and good value for money.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I took my wife's 2014 E400 Mercedes to Cool Car Northshore after making an appointment as the air-conditioning had failed (no cold air). I was immediately impressed by the service and the workshop manager Ryan who explained in detail what the issue was after examining the car (failed condenser). The part had to come from Singapore so it was a few weeks wait (standard COVID-19 supply issues) however, Ryan kept me well appraised and we subsequently booked the car in for repair once the part arrived. Luckily, I had taken out Autosure Car Insurance which was duly honoured (keep servicing records up to date) as the repair was over $3000.00. Cool Car did all the administration behind the scenes which made it very painless for me, I just supplied the details of the policy and servicing records from North Shore Mercedes. My wife was supplied with a courtesy car which was really beneficial as she has a daytime job and it saved getting an Uber or me having to pick her up. All in all a seamless, happy experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I paid $115 for their mandatory (you must do it if you want to get a quotation from them) diagnostic check after which they quoted over $2000 to have the compressor and relevant parts replaced. When I asked them if there were cheaper options, they said they would never compromise safety over cost and explained to me in detail the "cost" of not getting it replaced and how it could lead to a much more complicated job that will cost well in excess of $4000 and compromise safety.
Personally, I felt a little uncomfortable with their salesy and slightly hard sell communication tactics. They reception lady was very friendly but seemed overwhelmed and flustered with all the customers. I was also told that they will send me an invoice via email but I have not received any email or a call from them to confirm my email address.
Paying over $2000 to repair an aircon on a $10k car did not make sense to me so I went to another air con repair shop who did not charge anything for their diagnostic check and quoted less than half of what Cool Car offered. Most importantly, they seemed more upfront and honest.
I feel a bit annoyed at myself for not doing enough research before going to CoolCar. That $115 could have gone towards the repair bill. I'm also not saying that you shouldn't go to CoolCar but perhaps it will pay to get quotes from other shops that offer it for free or less first.
