★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Curtis Vision do a comprehensive eye examination, I was there for an hour in my eye examination with Suney who explained all the different tests and their purpose. He did a contact lens fit and gave me some free disposables to try out. Shelley the Manager and extensively Qualified Dispensing Optician was brilliant with helping to choose frames, she knew exactly what looked good given my prescription even right down to checking how thick my lenses would be in my frames so I could choose if I wanted thinner lenses. I couldn't decide frames on the spot so was able to take three frames home to show my kids and get a true feel of what they would be like. There was NO pressure for "add ons" like one other well known optometry chain...I was so impressed I've booked my daughter in next week for her test. My father also went to the Wigram branch on Monday and reportedly had a wonderful experience we are definitely converts. Curtis Vision has very reasonable competitive pricing, but also a far more enjoyable one to one experience that best of all is not rushed!!

Not because I think they are bad optometrists, but because I didn't like the pressure put on us. 4 years ago, yes, it was a long time ago now, my daughter, then aged 11 lost part of a contact lens during school. She was able to go to this practice which is just down the road from school, without an appointment. So far so good. They saw her and fished the piece out. I joined her there after driving from home to meet her.
By that time the optometrist was giving her a full eye exam. Which I had to pay several hundred dollars for. But they explained to me it was best after losing a contact. (We have had lost bits before but never had this happen). This practice is not our usual clinic, we just went there because it was handy from school as an emergency
I then got lectured that due to eye health we should switch contact lens brands to one which is double the price of her current ones. I was quite pressured in the clinic into buying but didn't go ahead. We got a very long email afterwards explaining that she should switch.
But our current practice say the daily lenses are still fine, and 4 years later we are still using them quite happily.
I felt the expensive eye exam was unnecessary and the sales pitch for new lenses was very pressured.

Very professional staff and a tricky eye issue very well explained after a scan and all results shown to me to help illustrate how the issues might be addressed. Lots of options including custom made, to fit lens'. An openess to liaise with my referee and work together to sort out the best outcome. Happy??

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I just had an appointment with Katie Frame and tests prior done by Carolyn.
It was a lovely experience they both set you at ease and had the right mix of professionalism and witty banter.
I didn't worry at all about my results or if I was doing anything incorrectly.
There is on site parking and easy to get too.

Just deciding on frames and looking forward to my new glasses.
Just reading the previous reviews and adding this... I have MS and suffered from optic neuritis so from that perspective can also endorse!
