★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sadly I do not recommend this salon at all. 1 star almost seems too much.
The place - once a vibrant, busy and bustling salon - now a filthy, empty and freezing cold room. I sat down for a manicure but had to leave when I saw how dirty everything was. Cut nails left on the table, staff in dirty stained clothes, grubby nail files. It was disgusting. I would have made a verbal complaint but the 2 staff didn't seem to give a stuff about me.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I wouldn't go back, very dirty, how hard is it to keep the basin and work stations clean during the day and the overall feel of the place was grubby and un welcoming. I would never go back. I should have got up and left when I saw all the previous customers bits of nails on the Emery boards. Staff too busy on their phones to interact with clients, even a hello when you arrive would be nice.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have been going to e-nails in Merivale for the past 2 years and have found the quality of work is equal to if not better than most of the nail salons in Christchurch. Their prices are also very reasonable and they can always fit me in when I do not make an appointment. I would have given 5 stars if only the chat amongst the staff did not completely bypass the customer.
I frequently recommend this place to people.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I got my acrylics done last week cost me an extra $40 just for gel nail polish so $85 which in my experience is abit pricey I've been getting my nails done every month for a year now! And the gel polish on my thumb was so uneven it just came off I'm not happy at all as I get my nails done for work. Would definitely not recommend

I was there for 1hour in that time I was spoken to 3 times once directing where to sit once to ask where I got my oringal nails done and that is 55dollars not even please. The place was not very clean the colour of my nails uneven. I asked for another coat but that made no difference. Nail techs often on their phone or talking loudly to each other across the room .
Unfriendly and poor service sums it up. One star one too many

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I stopped in this morning to get my nails tidied up. I was not greeted when I walked in, probably a whole of 10 words spoken to me from walking in, and then leaving. The lady I had was unfortunately super rough, and I mentioned at one point she cut my skin, when I left two of my fingers were bleeding around the nail. I was in there for approx 15 minutes, getting a very basic tidy, and was charged $35 which is what they charge people for a full manicure - including polish which I did not get. It also states on the pricing that those charges are for 30 minutes, again was in store less than half of that. The store was also really untidy and needs some serious updating. I would not return, and am super unhappy my nails have been inflamed all day.
