★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Spent 3 nights at this newly rebranded hotel. Centrally located in the heart of Christchurch city centre. The front of house team was very friendly and prompt at checking in. The room was good, not a five star standard by any means though. I felt welcomed with a hand written card put very nicely on the table with some delicious delicate chocolates. The bed was super comfortable and the linen and towels were crisp. Carpet ripped at a corner and visble stain marks that stayed over my visit despite room service doing their bit. The sliding doors to my wee pantry cum wardrobe were almost jammed and needed some muscle work to slide.
The gym looked deserted and very basic with cardiovascular machines facing dead walls.
The louge was very pretty and done tastefully. The velvet counches and chairs were very comfortable. The bar was well stocked other than the staff. I had a few business meetings during the day and the restaurant and the bar was shut. A 5 star hotel and couldn't get tea or coffeee or a drink as the front desk staff apologised and confirmed that the bar will reopen at 5pm.
My solo host was super friendly and courteous chap who came from Sri Lanka. He served me breakfast, evening drink and dinner. He was the constant feature of the service team. Very friendly, knowledgeable and cheerful.
My package included breakfast and i did try it two mornings out of three. The coffee was very ordinary, the barista needs to polish his/her skills for sure. The meals were average and lacked the 5 star touch when it comes to plating. Worse, i got charged for breakfast while checking out. Felt short-changed.
Overall a decent experience, nothing like a five star though.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent stay I have had with my partner! Staff was very helpful especially the staff name Lester as he has good knowledge about the tourist attractions in christchuch! he explained to us in detail where we can go and good places to eat, a good highlight of our trip to christchurch!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 10-min walking distance to Riverside Market, right opposite the theatre. At night, you'll see the streets opposite light up in beautiful lights. Small bar and restaurant at first floor. Valet at a price, do drop them a note prior to inform. Hotel manager on duty Jelisha was most helpful in ensuring a smooth check in and welcome for us. Amenties were comprehensive. If you manage to get a room with view, you'll be sure to enjoy a nice view of Christchurch.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Service was excellent, friendly, helpful staff from the Usher to the restaurant staff. We felt important to them, they went out of their way to help us after a bad experience at another local hotel. The Usher rang us in our room to see if we were happy with everything. Thanks so much, I recommend Fable ChCh as the best place to stay.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very neat and tidy hotel with yummy continental breakfast. Location is excellent, right next to the Cathedral junction so it was easy to hop on the tram to all the various attractions. Lots of eateries within walking distance.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Was so impressed with this lovely hotel. Clean, stylish, and such excellent staff. Everyone from reception / luggage staff to the restaurant manager were friendly and helpful at every opportunity. So glad we stayed here, would definitely stay again when back in Christchurch.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We got a voucher from grab one to stay at fable for the last 3 nights. The service has been outstanding. Rooms clean and well maintained. and the bed is super comfortable. The food was delicious and generous. Having cocktails in the bar this afternoon I’m sure they will be as great as the rest of our stay. Thank you for making our mini holiday so enjoyable.

The bed was very comfy, pillows probably a bit too chunky though if you prefer a flatter pillow..
Our room gave us a great view overlooking Manchester Street and the South side of the city.
The coffee machine is a lovely touch and the coffee was very nice.
The shower was impressive and spacious, with great water pressure.
Continental breakfast was mostly delicious, croissant was beautiful and fresh but the little cup of porridge maybe could have been warmed..
Would definitely stay here again.
