About Fish Face
Fish Face has been serving up the freshest seafood in the bay since 2016.
Being the only restaurant focusing on seafood in downtown Mount Maunganui, Fish Face quickly became a favourite for locals and tourists alike.
Our aim is to source fresh, local seafood specialising in oysters, mussels and fish prepared simply to allow the seafood to do the talking. We also offer meat, vegetarian and vegan dishes for our non seafood loving customers.
Our food is paired with a very well thought through, non complicated wine list showcasing some of New Zealand’s best wines.

The salmon was under cooked but when we mentioned it they gave us a fresh plate and took it off the bill. Will definitely return when back in the Mount as the food was really good and they had great customer service!

Food took about half an hour from ordering to table. The mussels were great but there weren't many at all for $32 - around ten mussels.
