β β β β β The service here is below poor. We waited over 35mins for someone to come and take our drinks order, and ended up having to go up and ask, as every time one of the waiters walked past we were ignored. The wait staff and the duty manager who were on had absolutely no idea what they were doing, and spent much of their time standing behind the bar doing nothing, while customers had to come up and order and even then, no orders were placed for another 10mins while once again, the staff stood round. We ended up leaving after having asked for a desert menu and the waiter forgot to come back. The food was terrible - cold, under cooked and over priced. Would not recommend eating here!

β β β β β Lovely big restaurant with attached large rooms for events/bookings. They have a good happy hour so for $15 you get a jug and a bar snack, or for $20 you get a jug and a pizza. The beer you can get is limited to macs gold and speight. But they do offer other beers they just not included in the deal

β β β β β Dirty silverware on the table, but the food was pretty good. We had the chicken burger and beef burger, both were tasty. Slow-ish service, but it was a holiday weekend so understandable. Expensive desserts.

β β β β β We booked a large table for 15-20 people. It took an hour and a half from ordering to get our meals. We saw multiple customers come in and be served entries, mains and deserts during our wait. No one gave us any updates and we had to ask for an update. The sprite syrup had run out so many of us got sparkling water and were told thatβs what we had ordered. I ordered a mains chips and calamari which was definitely not a mains meal as the kids meals were bigger than this and a quarter of the price. Also no vegetarian option. Only nice thing I can say is it was a nice atmosphere and clean and warm venue.

β β β β β Have just held a conference there. Wonderful facilities. The food was great. The standout for us was the staff/team. So friendly and helpful. Went out of their way to cater for our needs and after look after us. Will certainly be back!

β β β β β Wow we have just left the five stags , .
From the moment we arrived to the minute we left, our dining , whole experience was just fabulous.
Summit and his lovely staff greeted us .
We ordered ribs ,and salmon . Both of which were cooked perfectly. The hospitality rating was more than exceptional, a great range of beverages to accompany the meals.
Many thanks to the young chef again ,that completed our trip to Hanmer Springs.

β β β β β There's so much character in this bar. Felt like a hunting lodge with the roaring fire. Nice big windows to see outside (pity it was too cold to sit outside). What we really liked about it though was the friendly staff. The bar staff were so helpful when we were deciding on wines and they were knowledgeable about the area. We enjoyed it so much we stayed for dinner and even meet the chef. Food was hearty and delicious. Can't wait to come back!

β β β β β Loved this place! It's next to the hotel we stayed at so we had our breakfast here which was delicious and coffee was great. It's just got an awesome feel when you're here with super friendly staff, great decor and good food. Definitely recommend coming here ?
