★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were here attracted by the amount of people eating here so we decided to give it a try, and we did a good decision! We had a "combination" noodle soup with beef and chicken and it was full of flavor, delicious. We also had a very good fried rice. The soup is huge and the rice was of good size. Prices were around 11-12 dollars per plate. The service was good and fast even thought we were there right at lunch time. Too bad we found this place in our last day in Dunedin, otherwise we would be back again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Like the name suggests, the Friendly should be your go-to when you're looking for a satay fix. You have the option of dining in or takeaway. There are around 12 tables inside a relatively small restaurant but the atmosphere is palpable. You have a wide range of dishes to choose from on the menu. My personal favourite is the classic combination chicken satay. IFYKYK.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 5 stars! 5 stars! 5 stars! Food taste 5 star, portion size 5 star, friendliness of staff 5 star. The TV show they were playing on the TV, "The House" was so interesting we were watching as we ate. Very comfortable and good vibes all around. Will be back next time I'm in Dunedin ♥

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We ordered food from here through Deliver Easy (none of the issues were to do with them though) and some of it was missing. We called the restaurant to have it delivered and over an hour later it still hadn’t arrived. We called the Deliver Easy 0800 number and apparently the restaurant never logged for a driver to come back and fix the issue. Also, the man on the phone was quite rude, was rushing us and then hung up before we had even asked any questions about wait time etc.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The staff were friendly and the service quick. The food wasn't bad - I enjoyed it enough and was happy with the cost - but it wasn't quite what we asked for. The Pad Thai didn't taste like Pad Thai. I didn't dislike the food though, so there's that. Other reviews have suggested that certain dishes are better than others. Maybe that's what happened here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wow super super busy, we walked in about 5.35pm and walked out at 6.30pm, as we ordered they were inundated with phone orders, takeaways, delivery orders and eat in customers. The prices are great and the food was delishious. We had chicken satay, handmade sauce not commercial, green chicken curry, spicy seafood soup and very spicy chicken. Would suggest ordering earlier or waiting until after the rush hour if you are in a hurry ?
