We provide various cost options for your repairs. If your vehicle has been stripped down then we can usually give you an MTA automotive quote, but if it is not stripped for a quote then we can give an automotive estimate.
For instance we can use new or second hand parts, we can replace a full section of exhaust or just patch the exhaust so that it will pass the WOF & we can advise you approximately how long each type of repair should last but you choose the level and quality of repair you can afford.
Throughout our website we provide estimates of the usual costs for the common automotive repairs.
We can fix all automotive mechanical & auto electrical car problems.
We repair all makes, models and years of vehicle. Our repairs can often be done while you wait, but if we cannot then we have courtesy cars available.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really recommend Geddes, have been getting my car fixed their for over 15 years. They are honest, efficient and have fantastic communication for updates on car. My husband also took his car there recently & they went above and beyond to fix the issue with his car. We were given a courtesy car to use also.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ DON'T waste your time and money here, they couldn't even diagnose what was wrong with my truck 03 Ford explorer, and they had it for 2 months!!! Ended up picking it up and taking it to a REAL mechanic that could inform me what exactly was wrong and fix the problem. Just a bloody waste of time and money that was hard earned, and Peter was less informative, paid $577 for nothing done to my truck, thought they were good but I think they're lagging behind everyone else in technology and experience, maybe time for the owner to retire! I would never come back here again, better off paying abit more elsewhere and getting proper information then getting ripped off here, Hard lesson learnt so save yourself all the troubles and look elsewhere.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The reviews seemed to drive me to the guys. First, it was very pleasant and was very good customer service. But time after time when I was worried about what was going on with the car the response from mechanic was quiet agitated and miserable. Also the quote provided vs the final invoice was quiet a significant difference. Even after I messaged them to let me know. If there would be a difference. But last day the bill is quiet a lot and all stating just labour while the before quite stated the same labour. Overall quiet disappointed to see they are experts but rip off with no proper explanation. And no respect for customer service.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Never use this automotive!! I came in this morning in a hurry because my driver window would not go up and I couldnt leave it in the car park at work in that state. Unfortunately I did not check the reviews like I would normally and my experience is in line with the other bad reviews regarding misleading information by this place. I was charged $130 plus GST for a qoute which was 'diagnosing' my window issue. I asked before hand if there was a charge and Peter (manager) said he would let me know before fixing in. When I then declined their service to fix 2 windows for motors for $600.00 plus GST he gave me a $130.00 plus GST fee to come up with this qoute. They never advised me of the price it costs for a qoute when I asked just left it to the fine print on their booking form as evidence. Misleading and over priced is all this Mechanic can do for you. I ended up paying the fee to get my car back. NEVER get depserate enough to use this mechanic the reviews speak for themselves!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ "ABSOLUTE CROOKS! Avoid this place at all cost!!! Charged me over $2100 to do a rear differential on a 2002 hiace, originally said the bearing kit was $800 before saying it was only $400. Also charged 12 hours labour for a simple bearing replacement that should take 2-3 hours!
This is the worst and experience I have ever had in dealing with a mechanic or any business in my life. Wish I had seen the other reviews before I took my vehicle in at Geddes Automotive.
If you have your vehicle there and are in a similar situation to me. Where you know your being ripped off but they have already investigated the issue and immobilised your vehicle, then get it towed somewhere else! They only get worse the longer its' there.
I got the feeling they have been doing this for along time and have become very good at ripping people off.
And the differential is still making noise! Will need to take to another mechanic to have this looked at again!
I do a fair days work for a fair days pay, and expect to pay the same for others time and experience. In this instance I feel completely taken advantage of, severely over charged, and disgusted at the lies I was told over the price for parts and labour involved in doing this job!
This should have cost around $600-$900 max. Geddes charged over $2100."

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ After booking a muffler replacement with Midas a week earlier, only to have them confirm on the day that their systems were down and they unable to see me; Geddes Automotive were able to sort it out without a booking on a Saturday and for a great price!
The staff were great to work with and their booking in process was excellent, I’d highly recommend them for exhaust work.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I'm not one to leave reviews but my experience with Gedde's was the worst experience I've had with any mechanic, and I hope no one else has the same experience.
I thought I'd still go to Gedde's even after reading the bad reviews as it seemed many of his replies were justified but I realise now how wrong I was.
Took my car in to get a simple exhaust repair that he had quoted me over the phone. He was hostile from the start, was completely unreasonable when I had a simple queries and blatantly lied about things he had stated in my conversation over the phone. He ended up telling me he didn't want my business and told me to leave which was the best thing I could've done.

EDIT- Response to the owner: Absolutely nothing to do with COVID restrictions. They were indeed respected and abided by from the moment of arrival to the time I left. Might be time for you to retire there Ol' Petey, getting abit desperate on excuses for terrible service and hostile behavior. Again. The bad reviews of your business speak for themselves.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First time to Geddes, even after reading some negative reviews which some I thought were over exaggerated. Anyway, old school az, repaired another workshops mistakes on a Saturday at short notice. Not super friendly but I didn't go there to make friends . Bit pricey but they checked and did alot of work to see me right in a short space of time. I'm happy.Cheers.
