★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fox Glacier Eco tour: Ella, our guide, was superb. Very knowledgeable and set a reasonable pace that all in the party had no difficulty in keeping up with. Pity recent weather events and damage prevent getting any closer to the actual glacier but this was an excellent tour nonetheless

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Franz Josef Glacier Eco tour. Excellent tour, truncated due to recent weather damage. Guide (David) very knowledgeable and more than made up for the shortened tour with a wealth of information of the local area and its flora and fauna. All four of us over 60s (OK one of us is only 57!! ;-)) thoroughly enjoyed this experience, enhanced by the glorious weather on the day

It was set at a leisurely pace, we were able to access some areas that the general public are unable to and best of all, David - our guide was so very knowledgeable and interesting. Certainly the best experience we had at Franz Josef. Thank you David.

Moving at our own pace was great, and relaxing over a cuppa enabled us to question Cliff further on what we were seeing . Seeing Chamois out in the open was amazing. Thank you so much.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A very tough hike, almost 7 hours round trip, on a wet and treacherous day. Despite this, it was great and we were quite pleased by the experience. Our guide was very informative and social. Highly recommended

Is was more than just what plants or birds we saw, but he brought the area and it's history to light.
The use of little used and partly forgotten tracks made it a lot more personal. This took us off the main DOC paths , into areas that only a professional guide can do. We felt that we could go as a hard or slow as we wanted.
Even tea and biscuits.
Good job guys.
