V	Velta Karklins on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Unfortunately, we had a really disappointing meal and service here this evening. This is not to blame our waitress who was only on her 2nd night working there. She was pleasant enough and doing her best. Overall the service was slow and disorganized. It took over half an hour to get a drink, even though it wasn't busy. My friend and I were both told our drinks of choice weren't available. One type of chardonnay left and no sauvignon blanc. All good, but eventually got up to check what else we could have and helped find a bottle of sav right away. We both ordered the crispy squid for entree. I ordered vegetable red curry with prawns for the main. After a long wait 1 main was delivered. We would have preferred the entrees first. But still OK, we just ended up with the whole lot on the table at once. The squid was almost inedible with the amount of salt it was in. In fact I left most of it. My friend ate more of hers but also couldn't finish. My red curry with prawns had ZERO prawns. We got back to our accommodation, where my friend had to make herself sick to get rid of possibly the squid, or the salt. I just feel slightly nauseous. We had purchased an online voucher to use for a breakfast as well, but have now cancelled it as we have been so put off. PS not once were we checked on during the meal. The duty manager might have done well to support new and inexperienced staff. Sorry, not a great review. I realize that most reviews for this restaurant are fantastic. Maybe all staff tonight were just over it and wanted to go home. Not good enough.

T	Toni Hunter on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful dining experience. Booked thru first table, the service and food were still well above expectations even tho we were paying at a discounted price. Waiter was Mahina, she was wonderful, very polite, informative and thorough, and even offered for us to change tables to accommodate our baby and pushchair which we very much appreciated. Loved seeing the staff being quick on customers to be wearing masks and show vax passes, as I know this can be a daunting part of the job, but they owned it. Thanks heaps team, look forward to dining here again

The sauce on the mussels was the best we’ve ever had and the steaks were cooked perfectly. Got speaking to the manager and waiting staff and learned everyone’s fairly new due to the hospitality restrictions brought in by covid; we wouldn’t have realised at all! Such respect for these people adapting in such unprecedented times. Prices are so worth the quality when comparing to other local restaurants and we’ll definitely be back. Thank you.

The staff were unapologetic and made me feel like I was strange being vegan. We therefor couldn't eat here but instead went ahead with our cocktail drinks order while we looked for somewhere else. We waited 20 minutes despite them not being busy. We went outside to enjoy the view with our drinks to then be told it was a non smoking hotel and we could not enjoy a cigarette despite no one else being outside. No effort was made to remedy the situation or sincere apology. We went somewhere else that accommodated us even though their kitchen was soon to close. They had plenty vegan options and the final bill was only double what it cost us for the two drinks here. I would not eat nor stay here and will certainly tell others it overpriced and truly underwhelming. There are better value places with sea views and atmosphere a few minutes away from here.

Where Dan was interested in letting you know he provides good service as he told us on few occasions that he does. We felt bit intimidated when we finished the seafood platter and Dan said people normally can't eat it as big. Made us feel like pigs. I took a photo of it and we fell it was small 8 tiny tiny scallops. Bout 6 prawns 8 mussels 4 tiny pieces of salmon and some squid. Must say the best chili mussels the best I have ever had. But the platter came with some bread and dips still not a huge platter for 2 people to share. Also next time when I ordered lamb Dan said you have to be a big eater to order lamb. Once again I took photo and we don't think its huge amount. So made to feel like we were pigs again. So we will not come back because of that reason
M	Maria Katu on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful dining experience for Hubby's 40th. Steak and seafood was cooked perfectly, wait staff were very attentive. Lovely outlook over the water and Resort pools. Restaurant is small but added to the ambience. Had a couple of new waitresses on their first night. They did very well and Daniel the Manager was leading them all the way. You could tell they were nervous but that added to the charm of the night. Great night, we will definitely be back next trip.
