★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a great time at Glencree last weekend, made extra special as Reed (age 13) shot his first fellow deer. Reed says Brent helped me sight in my rifle in the on site rifle range, and then took me up country in the side by side, riding past all the big stags and fellow deer, it was an awesome sight. The next day early morning we went across the bush and easily sighted two fellow deer, and I managed to shoot two. Brent helped me learn how to properly gut a deer and was a great Guide. It was a great stay, I hope to go again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I booked a hunt for my son's birthday, and while out managed to shoot his first deer! We had a great afternoon out with Brent, with heaps of animals seen. He made it easy, and was very professional. Such great scenery too - would totally recommend. Thank you.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The perfect spot for a family getaway. The spacious chalets with Californian King Size beds and large en-suites were luxurious and restful. Sitting on the deck (or in the spa pool) gives expansive views from the bush covered hills to the sea.
There is plenty to do for the whole family - hunting or long walks in the hills or the nearby coast. Our guides made sure our inexperienced hunters were confident and had a successful hunt. One of the highlights was the thrill of seeing magnificent trophy stags in their natural environment.
Dinner in the lodge with the open fire was a relaxing way to finish a day in the hills.
Brent, Louise and their family were the perfect hosts and made for a memorable weekend. We can't wait to come back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wow! Wow! wow! That’s all I could can say when I was driving up the driveway. Glencree is a slice of heaven tucked away in little Orao. This place is bucket list material. Every direction you look the view is amazing!!! The spa/ Hot tub was my favourite!! The beautiful family that runs it, are very warm, welcoming lovely & just all over sensational. The chalet are gorgeous! The Bed is Huge & so comfy! Bathroom & shower is luxury at its finest! Kitchenette with what you need, Tv (not that you need one) has every channel, Netflix and more. Shared Laundry available. Now the food wowieeee amazing! Delightful! delicious!! Complements to the chef!! Trust me when your sitting on the deck with a glass of your favourite taking in the sunset in total awe you’ll know what I mean. Im already planning my next trip back! Thank you so much Louise and family.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is what I imagined the Garden of Eden would have looked like. In all directions the views are spectacular and photos don't do them justice. The hospitality and warm welcome of the team made us feel right at home. The dinner supplied was of a 5 star quality. The chalets are beautiful with all the surrounding views, and the non hunters made well use of the spa and the short trip to Kaikoura. The hunting experience was awesome as the goal was for my daughter (12) to hunt her first animal, and she ended up with 3. The guide (James) was really patient with her and went above and beyond to find her the animals and to keep her calm and informed, she walked away confident and proud. We cannot wait to return. AMAZING

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wow what a slice of paradise! We stayed two night for my wife's birthday and couldn't be happier. Louise is a fantastic host and the quality of the accommodation is top notch. The views are breathtaking and the privacy and the spa topped off a weekend we will not forget. We will definitely be back and would highly recommend to anyone wanting to get away from it all. We can't say enough about this amazing gem. Rob

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What an amazing experience! Arriving and being absolutely blown away by how stunning the chalets are, the views, the decor! Everything out of this world.
Had dinner served which was amazing! The the hunting the following morning, could not fault. It was my first time so I was nervous but made to feel comfortable and even shot my first ever animal!! Cant wait to come back probably for my honeymoon :). Thanks :)
