★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I'm usually one to avoid saying anything if I have nothing positive to say, but I have to waive that for today. We went in on a sunday morning just to grab a quick coffee, and after about two reminders, we finally got them 45 minutes later, and they were not worth the wait.
No customer toilets at Goldmine either, in case that's a selling point for you.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Heard good things about this place so thought would give it a try. Unfortunately they were so busy they had run out of bread (only had gluten free bread) and avocado but didn’t inform us for 15 mins after sitting down. Staff weren’t friendly -quite rude actually also didn’t wear masks and poor food hygiene practices (wiping tables with their hands). Such a shame because besides the lack of ingredients food was delicious. I got the burger with gluten free bread as the bun but my fries came out 15 mins after the burger.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Haven't been for a while. Forgot how good the food and coffee is. Standard options created with a twist.
French toast with citrus maple syrup bacon egg - a new favourite. The smoked kawhai omlette - yes please. Scrambled eggs have always been on point.
Must visit to eat way thru menu, then start again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great location and great atmosphere. The staff were welcoming and had a great time. With regards to food, the bacon was very salty and too overcooked to my liking, but the other items were not too bad.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hubby and I went in for a late lunch, 2pm. Cooked meals were advertised outside and inside the shop, but when we asked for scrambled eggs, we were told the only food available was cabinet food. The banana bread was great, the coffee not so much. Disappointed ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I'm sad to have to give you a bad review when I experienced at the restaurant. On Saturday morning (14/5), we went to the restaurant to have breakfast at 11 am. It was so bad when we ordered and had to wait 45 minutes for 2 breakfast items and 2 cups of hot chocolate. More sadly, when we finished eating and went to pay, the staff ignored us and let us stand for 10 minutes to wait for payment. At that time, the restaurant was not too busy and the service staff was very slow. The food we tried wasn't too special either. The egg sauce was too sour, the bread was too dry and burnt. Really bad! Sad for my experience that day and will probably never come back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I came here with a work colleague for breakfast. The service was sub standard. We waited a while to be served and I saw the lady behind the counter tell the waitress to come and take our order after she noticed we were still waiting. Our meals came out and I had scrambled eggs on toast. The toast was sourdough bread but it was hard and dry. I mentioned this to the chef who came and took our plates. He apologised and said thanks for letting me know. We also noticed the hot food ready to be taken to the tables was left on the counter. On one occasion more than 4 minutes and the waitress was more focused on clearing tables then serving hot food that was going cold. Eventually the chef come out from the kitchen to take the food to the tables. Perhaps a bell would've come in handy and better training to the staff.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ French toast was the go to here. The orange citrus went very well with the sweet maple syrup, bacon and egg. Great customer service and espresso and mocha were also perfect, will return here when visiting Wellington.
