★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What can I say, top notch Lodge. We stayed in the family tree house, and it was delightful. Stunning views towards the ocean and the mountains all in one breathtaking place. Devine sheets and a complimentary mini bar. The 5 course degustation in the restaurant was second to none. Utterly delicious. Only feedback is the grounds (overgrown & dead flax) around the pool and at the houses could have been tidier. Highly recommend though!

If I had to nit pick, then it would be extra sensitive sensors for the showers (which you can turn off completely) and the, bit too, tiny kitchenette area.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What a great lodge to spend the night as we were traveling north. The tree house room was very nice with great views of the mountains & pacific ocean. The presentation of dinner & breakfast was very appealing along with wonderful flavors & tastes. The staff went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable in every way. Would be a great place to spend a couple of nights.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stayed in the Olive House with two other couples. Each couple had a stunning room. Beautifully furnished and gorgeous views of mountains, olive groves and gardens. The attention to detail was commendable and I had possibly the best sleep I have ever had anywhere!
Chris, the manager, was so warm and welcoming...super helpful and great advice about local activities and the area itself.
Fiona, the chef at the lodge, works magic in the kitchen! The food we had was absolutely divine. The produce they cook with is all sourced locally or grown on site and you can see as well as taste the creative thought and love they put into their food. A dining experience to remember!
We enjoyed a lovely cocktail hour with our friends in the outside pool area... gorgeous pool and spa as well. A very relaxing oasis and a great place to unwind after a busy day.
Hapuku Lodge will be a place you will never want to leave! I'm already planning my next visit!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stayed here three nights and it was a delightful experience. The team are super friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and they were very accommodating with a few extras and changes to suit preferences.
The rooms are very well appointed, have a really nice feel and an absolutely amazing outlook! I would definitely stay here again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Everything about this place is excellent. The quality of the accommodation and service is amazing. The food is outstanding and we were left wanting nothing. The staff do everything possible to make the stay enjoyable. The location just outside Kaikoura is a great base for all sorts of activities or just a perfect spot to be still and relax. We used the spa and sauna and dipped in the pool. They also have lovely grounds that are well worth a wander around. Top class venue and fairly priced.
