★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The place is unreal has everything a surfer would need - an amazing beach 1 minute from, great camping spot, a skate ramp that is definitely not mini, power and water, a cute dog, and great bloke who will look after you for all your needs.
5/5 would recommend!

We stubbled on this stunning surf oasis by chance as no signage and it is on a secluded beach road appropriately called Kiwi road only to meet Dave aka Davo who from the moment we met him went above and beyond. He shared his knowledge of the area and gave top recommendations of activities and restaurants nearby- this was simply an act of kindness and passion for the local area. He sent us to all these activities rather than trying to sell his own business.
We returned later that day as we were in love with the location, the surfing/SUPing on offer and knowing just how nice Dave was. Great value for the activities with ultimate surf knowledge from Dave.
We had accommodation for the night already but the “Rad” AirBnB was too good to not stay in ?. The views of the sea and mountains were magnificent.
This Kiwi Surf Experience was the best part of an already awesome action packed South Island tour and I pray that one day I will return to meet the family and be surfing the waves with expert Dave in the water giving me his unlimited surfing knowledge?♂️.

We did stay though and it was awesome. Fully equipped wee room, clean, modern, quiet and special.
Quiet except the waves! Fully equipped including bbq, brazier, skateboard ramp, incredibly cute little dogs and friendly host.
Stunning location by the surf break. Star gazing, mountain admiring and beach wandering optional!
