★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place to see all the birds and the full lake in Rotorua. We just came for the sunrise and surprised how beautiful the views are! Highly recommend for people looking for nice and quiet views!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Got dumped here by the security guard for campervan parking and very glad we did! The views from this place are exceptional, the lake and bird sanctuary are easy to see from here. In the morning the flies/mozzies are certainly in abundance and there is a slight smell of sulphur but you'd expect that in the volcanic regions! Not a place I would have gone but would recommend visiting for sunset! Very scenic.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is where I took one of the best, if not the best, photo of my solo backpacking trip to New Zealand. The sunset here is something definitely worth the wait! Absolute place of beauty! Not to be missed if you have a free evening!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An absolute must when visiting Rotorua, I've always loved this area, it's so serene and peaceful, you can walk from the government gardens or just drive here. Lot of wildlife here (lots of geese!) And very scenic around twilight hours

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This headland is on a cycling / walking track that circles between the lovely garden / playground at the top Fenton St and the old (restored) Polynesian Bath House building. It's a lovely walk, partly shaded and with lovely outlooks over the lake.
