great for a tasty but cheaper feed in queenstown. they have a combo where you can get a roti roll with dumplings, wontons or spring rolls. there's good vegetarian options too. I enjoyed the eggplant roll and vegetarian dumplings.

Everything on the menu is to die for. I was actually a fan of the gluten free option which was simply a lettuce leaf. Doesnโ€™t get any more gluten free than that. The tracks were great and the staff were all friendly. Last bit not least, they have a very comfortable bathroom out back.

Totally FAILED nasi lemak. Over soft rice (too much water?) Tasteless beef rendang(i can only said this if some water boiled beef with some chilli?) Over fried anchovies? (Very hard to bite) The one star give to the cucumber and fried egg. NO next visit. Thanks.

Celeb chef Josh Emmett's chain of Malaysian "Hawker" joints are popping up up and down the country, and this one is fast, cheerful and just as excellent as it's more polished and larger Auckland cousin. In fact, this one is friendlier and cosier, which gives a more authentic "street" feel. The food is excellent, and yes, it's not as cheap as you would like for hawker food. But the quality is unrivalled, and the flavours consistently pop. Great when you're on the way out into town, or after a few drinks, or *with* a few drinks, or on the way back from a few drinks... My personal favs? The vietnamese coffee - hot or iced, the chicken laksa roll, the salads, and the nasi lemak. Keep away from the dumplings... they're a bit flat compared to the rest of the food.

The taste of the food is quite authentic to Malaysian hawker food.. however I was a little disappointed with the portions served for the price. It's a little dear. I ordered the Laksa and it looked barely like anything in the pictures (2tiny pieces of veggies and 2mouthful of noodles). The taste was good, I wish the portion was larger for the price ($20). The dumplings were amazing though.

I like the dishes. The Malay cuisine Nasi Lemak is amazing, and the rice with beef for kid is another surprise. Price is friendly

We had lunch here, the laksa is a bit plain for my taste but still very good, love the nasi lemak, the roti is good too. We were not very hungry and looking for something light for lunch, turned out it's the perfect place for that. Service is great, will recommend :)

We visited Hawker & Roll during the school holidays, which might have caused the long wait we were warned for. The food was worth the wait though, especially the laksa! The portions were quite small in our opinion, we should have ordered some extra side dishes
