β β β β β Very poor customer service and focus! Waiting days for a reply when my request was urgent is just pathetic, I have already applied with another company and all wrapped up in a day. Don't waste your time with these people. Goes to show with terrible ratings on google!

β β β β β I tried to move my home loan to heartland bank and took 4 weeks just to rejected for not making enough income, even though I have meet every repayment with my current bank for the last 7 years and my repayment would have been less with heartland. Note my income is 5x my weekly repayment and have over 60% equity in my home. That's what I get for wanting to support a smaller NZ bank. Very disappointing experience.

β β β β β I recently opened a business account with Heartland Bank. Nice and easy,, Tish who I dealt with was very helpful and kept me informed all the way. I have some personal accounts with them but have now started to move some business across. Interest rates are on the whole better than the big for bank

β β β β β If you need your money to be transferred fast to your nominated account, please think again in choosing this bank. With other bank, it takes around 4-5 hours to receive your money, but with Heartland it took a day.

β β β β β Says on their home loan website - you get a decision within 48 hours. HAHAHA! I applied and waited 2 weeks and still no response. I called their call center and they told me I have to email their home loans team. I sent them many emails and no response.

β β β β β Applied for a home loan and was rejected within 2 minutes despite having a net income almost three times more than the mortgage repayment. The best part of it was the application was assessed and rejected even without looking at our payslips and bank statements! Tried to contact customer service and was asked to leave a voice message with details. The person who eventually replied hadn't even bothered to check my application and totally misunderstood my queries. The muppet just couldnt answer as to how the application was assessed without bank statements and payslips and was going on about bridging loans which I hadn't even asked about, and stopped replying to emails! Shame google doesn't have a zero star rating. Pathetic service.

β β β β β If you are opening up a new loan or any new service, you wont have an issue getting through to speak to someone. It takes roughly one minute to get ahold of someone. If you are a returning customer query something on your account...GOOD LUCK!!!! You will hold for up to an hour if not longer. At this point you pray the line doesn't get cut! Worst thing is that you have to call customer services to setup your mobile/internet banking. If I could setup the banking myself, I wouldn't need to call the customer services and hold for hours.
Oh, and let me tell you one thing, if you planning on staying on the line till you get hold of someone, the automate system will prompt you every 20 seconds to ask you if you still wanna stay on the line...You will end up pushing the number 3 on your phone possible like 100 times in the space of an hour of holding!!! So irritating!
