★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were in Wanganui for the weekend and had already dined where we were staying so for our second night we ventured across the road to a restaurant the locals didn't know too much about because it had only recently opened. Well let me tell the locals this - they should dine at High-Kut Bistro as soon as possible. Because the food is that good.
Unfortunately our and many others romantic night was ruined by a table of trailer park trash celebrating a birthday party at the same time. I know they were trailer park trash because everytime a male from the group, either young or old, went the toilet, they had to tell everyone about it when they came back. And thats after all the belching and food throwing. I can only wish they weren't local and don't go to High-Kut Bistro often.
Thanks team for a great meal, can't wait to come back and try more of the menu. Especially the toasted almonds bit.
