HIREACE is now over 25 years old and it was born out of a simple idea to provide exceptional customer service and affordable and reliable rental vehicles and trailers to people in Auckland. Since then the company has expanded and now Hireace has rental yards in Tauranga, Hamilton, Wellington and Christchurch, and our team has grown to over 80 team members.

β β β β β Rented here today and was really disappointed as I have to wait for half of hour to pick up my car and this is included in my paid period.
Also, I was informed about the milage that I could use by staff at the time of picking up vehicle instead of listing in an official contract. To be honest, if the milage is not a fixed number, customer would always get a different charge rate from this company!
Definitely not recommended!

β β β β β Very easy company to deal with. Service was great and dealings were uncomplicated - small things such as where the gas tank lever were pointed out before I commenced my journey. I hired a van for the week and it performed perfectly. Extremely happy with the rental charges too - hundreds of dollars cheaper than the others I approached. Will definitely use again.

β β β β β When you have systems in place the whole process is very efficient and satisfying. Booked online for a 4 hour hire and it was all set all done through email. I went to pick up the Van it was standing there waiting for me, guys at the office were just as good. Great job well done. Thank yuo.

These guys called two other centres to see if I could drop it off close to home - saved me a lot of extra driving!

β β β β β Initially the experience was bad. I organised a large van, only to be told less than 48 hours before pickup, it was not available due to an accident (not their fault obviously).
The issue was they couldn't source another large van at all in the country as they don't have many!!!
However...
They were very kind and helpful, offered a discount and free KM's to make up for it, and allowed me to have a smaller van for longer.
But these guys really need to have more large vans available when needed.

β β β β β Have hired many trailers from Hireace without issues but most recently I collected a car trailer with a very different experience. This time a staff member connected it to my vehicle presumably inspecting it before hand to make sure it was safe and connected correctly.
Not only were the trailer brakes completely defective but while unloading the trailer the tow coupling they had secured to my vehicle was missing the safety lock pin which caused it to disconnect causing damage to my vehicle and a very close injury. I explained the situation and all they offered was a $30 voucher!
I would've thought every trailer is inspected before hire and the staff ensure they have safely connected them to customers vehicles.
