★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A good way to introduce a young family to tramping and overnight huts. A great base from which to do many day walks. The grounds are always well maintained. Beautiful surroundings. Lodge has 2 seperate rooms with 4 beds each which can be hired as a room, otherwise there is a larger 20 bed dormitory. Lodge has electricity, hot water and wood burner, with outside toilet and shower. More luxuries than the standard DOC huts.
