★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This establishment has quite a few shortcomings and when broached with the duty manager, he assisted as best he could, but when I voiced further shortcomings the next day I was put in contact with the owner telephonically who was blatantly unprofessional, defensive and very rude. The unit is well decorated on the surface but there is a lack of necessities, kitchen very impractical and hardly any pots, dishes, very small fridge etc., 4 adults were booked but only 3 dining chairs, which were poorly assembled and unsafe to sit on, basin in bathroom is impractical, shower pressure is poor, no mirrors in the bedrooms, no hangers etc. I called to let the establishment know that a baby is coming, but on arrival nothing in the unit, no baby bath, no cot, no high chair. Washing facilities lacks, washing lines overgrown and no pegs. The gardens are also very untidy.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My experience with kea apartments has been awful. My partner and I booked online and 10 mind later we arrived. The outside is in a sorry state but we still gave kea apartment's benefit of the doubt. We were given our key and shown to our room. It was a cold day in Nelson and for a 4 star hotel there weren't much luxuries, like carpet, unit may be suitable as like a summer bach. We were cold and tired and just wanted to relax and this cold wooden uncomfortable unit was not worth our money, so after a 5 minute discussion with my partner we decided to cancel our booking.whilst driving back to the office we noticed many empty units. We handed keys back into office and left to stay at a comfy warm, heat pumped unit for $1 extra per night than kea apartment's. Before we even reached our new hotel kea apartment's had charged my a full 2 nights booking as we didn't cancel within 58 hours, the whole process from booking to walking out of motel took 15mins. I think it's so rude. We ended up convincin kea apar's to give us one night back but we are yet to see that money. I think it's very rude to charge one night when we didn't even have key for 5 min's, and we as customer are always right. We have a right to cancel. Will not be recommendin to our family when they visit as we are locals. Very disappointed

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Did not have the best experience. found a long black hair IN my bed... my hair is blonde.... ants crawling all threw my bed and all over the kitchen. Cleaners didn’t do a good job as there was so much built up dust everywhere. looked for an email address so I could email the owners privately but unfortunately could not find one. I will not be staying again.

Nice modern interior, very clean, comfy bed. Good night sleep.
Comfy sofa for relaxing.
Plenty of clean towels and nice fresh bed linen.
Parking right outside the door makes it a easy arrival.
Some good restaurants just a few minutes walk away.
Would stay here again.

location is great. 5 mins work to beach & 3 mins walk to local restaurants and bars. 6 mins drive from both airport & Nelson city.
We stayed in a one bedroom unit apartment.
Actually I would say it is not a real apartment. just a renovated old motel.
but the unit we stayed has good space, and some new decoration.
especially the new stylish bathroom.
It's downside is very poor drive way & car park design.
drive way is very narrow & also very dark at night. also when parked our car outside of unit.
Our unit door is almost get blocked by the car.
business sign even has no light at night.
You may miss it during night time.
sound proof is not great either. I could hear the loud truck starts it's engine every morning at 05:30.
But still recommend people to stay there with limited budget (like $100 or less per night) or not long period stay.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really enjoyed my stay here! Rooms have modern styling and very spacious with full kitchen facilities. Room was clean and tidy.
Accommodation was well located. It was walking distance to takeaways, cafes & pubs and a nice dog friendly beach.
About 5 minutes drive to the airport and 10 minutes to CBD nelson
Service was great and staff were very friendly!
