★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Rhonda is a lovely person and built a beautiful place to stay. Everything is absolutely clean, it's close to the beach and she also offers to pick you up from the airport. We were supposed stay one night but extended o ur stay twice. Also she organized a great abel tasman trip for us.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Land lady Ronda was unbelievably rude to me. I was in the kitchen 10 minutes after closing time and I was swore at, my meal was stopped by action and I was threatened to be kicked out.
A week later I asked to move room. She told me to move into the back room at the left. When I done so, I rang up that night for the key for the room she had locked. I was met with outrageous abuse on the other end of the line (I'm a selfish c*nt.) Because I apparently interrupted her meal with friends. I could "rot outside for all I care".
.As a backpacker miles from home it's the last way on earth you want to be treated while trying to make a home for yourself. What a disgrace she is to the community. Please do not stay here if you want to be respected as a human.
Oh and the place is Infested with flies 90% of the time. Despite all efforts to inform staff of the problem.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice lil hostel. Rooms are well kept, the kitchen is very user friendly and has everything you need, and the hostesses are a great bunch of people. The travellers were a beautiful lot, and the permanent stayers are fantastic ? Would definitely stay here again and recommend it to my friends

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This one is fine. I dont have much to say about it, the kitchen is not that big but you will be able to cook meals because there arent many guests usually. The location is just beautiful tho, as Nelson just is. Walk across the green to the beach and hang around there!
