β β β β β A fairly no-frills hotel however the price was really good and room was decently sized. No restaurant on site atm, but plenty of other options in town anyway. Nice views of the lake

β β β β β Had 4 nights here. Not busy and looks a bit dated but was pleasantly surprised. Great value for money. Staff were very helpful. Nice clean room, serviced daily. Happy to return.

β β β β β Very well kept and maintained. Spacious room. Good location by the lake. Very helpful staff.
At the time of visiting the hotel was only partially open as there have been no guests due to COVID19. Only breakfast available from the restaurant and the bar was closed. However this hasn't affected any of the other facilities and the warm reception made up for everything.

β β β β β The service is pretty good. Friendly and helpful staff. Fridge was a touch noisy which is why it didn't get 5 stars. Didn't bother me but others may find it irritating. Location to the the waterfront was great. Great views from the dining room.

The rooms were bright and clean and room housekeeping was excellent
The continental breakfast was nothing less than perfect
I would go out of my way to recommend the Kingsgate to all Iβm talking too

β β β β β Was really positively surprised how nice the rooms and service was, compared to the price. It was a great decision to book two nights here for our visit to Milford Sound! It took away the stress of having to do 4-4.5 hours of driving in one go from Queenstown and Lake Te Anau is worth a visit in itself!

β β β β β I have stayed here many times over the years and consider this accommodation as a nice, convenient standard hotel.
Staff have always been friendly and helpful and the hotel clean and tidy.
There was breakfast available and if you needed anything, you just had to ask!
Being close to the town centre and on the waterfront, it is a nice walk to and fro.
