★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Kura Gallery is small, but has a wonderful selection of original nz art. Great variety from mounted photos of mountain scenes to carvings, jewellery and paintings. The gallery has been around for over 20 years, and selects the best nz art from all over the country.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Post Covid, I had all intention to shop and support this small locally owned business but NOT when you’re completely ignored! There were only 3 of us in the store and the lady behind the counter couldn’t even bother to say hello ? Looking at jewellery and art next to the counter, she couldn’t even lift her head to acknowledge us. Won’t be going back!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What rude ladies serving in the gallery during a visit to the store today, Saturday 21 December at around 3pm. Made us feel like we were stealing while looking and admiring the fantastic artworks. We were intending on purchasing a piece for our new home. Totally put off by the staff, such a shame!
