★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stay on the track if you are looking up. A visitor rolled an ankle by standing on soft ground, while looking up! Very beautiful, short walk. Walk in and walk back, don't use the road, it is not safe.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was more like a forest walk than a lake walk. There is just a single point where you can view the lake. Then after 20 minutes in the forest you return 20 minutes walking on the roadside.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A short but pretty walk to a small lake. Doesn't quite have the awe of some of the bigger lakes but I still enjoyed the walk. It is a bit odd how the return walk is via the highway though. You could easily walk back via the same inland way you came though

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Flat and wide track, easy walking, well maintained. Would suit strollers. The return to the carpark was alongside the main road so we rather returned by the same route.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely walking track out to the lake, unfortunately it spits you out on the side of the highway to walk back to the car park. Ignore the DOC sign, it was only around 30 minutes return with photos at a reasonable pace.
