★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had an early dinner at Mac's Steak House. Great service and fantastic food on a rainy Saturday night. I ordered Angus Sirloin (medium rare) and my partner ordered Pork Belly from the dinner specials. The waiter that attended our table was very attentive. He knows his stuff very well. Would love to come back in the future when we visit Rotorua.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were surprised at the very high standard of the food. Had the tuna & beef entrees followed by mussels & lamb shanks & desert. Very friendly attentive service even though they had a number of large groups. Definitely will be back

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very friendly staff and kudos to the person who put the virgin mojito mocktail on the menu it was sublime. Very refreshing on a hot summer day. I had sirloin steak and was cooked medium rare to perfection.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Average as food ordered the scotch fillet, eggs and chips. Chips were over cooked. Took ages to come out and feel like it would have been better (and cheaper) just to have cooked it myself. Bread for daughter wasn't very nice

Three course special 5pm, not sure if it's daily but mate it's the Shizzy!
Don't get two lamb shanks in one serving like I did, end up in food coma ????

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had a great night at Macs last night. Kai was delicious steak was cooked to my liking and ribs and mac n cheese for whanau visiting couldn’t fault. It was a bit cold though but we didn’t have a reservation was sat by the entrance where there were no heaters. So dress warm.
The service and staff member that looked after us was excellent and couldn’t fault it. Wanted to leave a tip for him but had a line behind me to pay after the register.
