β β β β β Best Japanese I've had in Auckland and I have been to many places here (and Japan). Definitely will come back once Covid restrictions are gone to pair my Wagyu with some beer and sake ?

β β β β β Probably the worst food I've had at a restaurant. I know Covid has impacted a lot of places but food was slow and sub standard. Soggy tempura, overcooked rice and chicken, lumpy potato mash, barely edible "pork ribs" and hamburgers that were seriously sub standard. None of our diners were happy with their food and to be honest it seemed as if they had reheated leftovers from the day before.
Service was okay but if someone brings up issues with the food the least you would expect is a query about what was wrong.
Would definitely not recommend.

β β β β β Had a table booked at 7pm this evening. We turned up and were directed to our table. We were told that a waitress would bring our menus over shortly.
Ten minutes go by. Nothing. Other people who have turned up after us have been seated and given menus and water. I could not get the attention of anyone.
Only when we started to leave we were asked 'are you leaving?'. The waitress apologized that we had been overlooked, but she did not offer to bring menus or serve us. Instead, she apologized again as we left.
The food looked nice. Sadly we didn't get to try any of it.

β β β β β Super nice price and dishes. I love the place, quite warm and cozy. The sashimi was fresh and delicious, the grilled salmon was superb. The cream cheese matcha cake is a must-try. It's not ordinary sponge cheese cake but a piece of matcha cheese ( Yup, a whole piece of matcha cheese, not cheesecake, I'm not wrong ). I would definitely come again after the lockdown.

β β β β β Best Japanese restaurant we had in Auckland. The food is delicious and they are even offering delivery services now! The experience we had at the restaurant has always been awesome. The home delivery option was perfect, the only thing missing was the lovely staff ;)

β β β β β Bland, overpriced and small portions.
- The eggplant and courgettes was half a skinny eggplant and half a courgette, which was bland with nice sauce.
- Karaage chicken was bland with wasabi mayo and what looked like siracha mayo but simply tasted like mayo.
- Corn fritters were terrible, bland and doughy.
- Sushi was ok.
+ Service was efficient and the setting is nice.
Overall, if you are looking for an affordable and filling meal in the city, probably not the place to go
