Nope, the van missed many procedures, things like cleaniness, hygenic salutations, broken equipment and the full run around when complaining about it after the trip.. no apology, no remorse, no follow up on why the van was how it was. Took my reveiw off the site explaining what went wrong. Trying it one more time with the family from queenstown... lets see how that goes. Wish us luck, lots of luck!!

Terrible company! We booked a 6berth Maui River Elite. This is supposed to be a campervan under 1 year old. Ours wasn't during the full length of our rental period. The campervan had numerous problems which Maui road assistent was not willing to solve. The ony thing they wanted us to do was drive to a service station (even if another service station which we already visited on demand of Maui said they were not able to fix te problems). Worst service I've ever experienced!!

Really unimpressed with this company. Got 2 vehicles in Christchurch and returned in Auckland. Plenty of chips on windscreen, some recorded, most not. Got charged $110 for 2 chips from 14 days of travel. Campermate didn't work on one of the vehicles and both in really shoddy condition. For genuine damage on vehicles in good condition I'd absolutely understand but they are happy to give out unrepaired vehicles and attempt to gain money back on this damage. Would suggest avoiding for peace of mind for your holiday. Also - be advised there is a $7,500 deposit. Wasn't clear to us initially so had to get a credit increase for this after waiting for UK banks to open - there is a charge if using a debit card.

Rented the camper from Fti. Got the camper from Maui in Christchurch 7 days ago. And have rented it for 7 more weeks!!! We also have a baby girl with us!!! Camper was in a really bad condition - not clean or checked when we got it. Bathroom door was broken. Had to go back to the shop immediately. Staffmember was very unfriendly, did not do any introduction. Stopped letting us watch the introduction video. Installed the child seat completely wrong with a security peace missing. After first night, recognized that fridge was broken. Went back to the branch in Christchurch, car went to the shop again. After the next three nights: gas bottle was empty due to a broken sealing at the bottle. We were loosing gas constantly and could have blown up any second, if a cigarette would have hit us!!! Car was pulling to the left. Profile of left wheel totally gone down. Sealing windows broken, freezing at night. Baby girl got sick. Camper door bent, Moskitos came in. CamperBattery empty after short time. AC stopped working. Awning was blocked and totally mouldy. Couldn’t use it, baby was hit and hurt by pine cone. Sink in kitchen and bath blocked. Toilet leaking blue fluid every time driving. Went to a contractor shop. Mechanic said he can’t fix this all and we should get a new car. Told this to thl. Went back to Christchurch in 3 hours with a baby girl and a broken AC at 35 degrees. When we got to the branch in Christchurch, supervisor was very aggressive and personal, called us liars because they only said they would fix it. Car went to the shop again for 90 minutes. Said they had fixed everything?! Car still pulling to the left. Have contacted thl via mail and phone several time. Staff in Auckland very nice but not helpful. Staff in Christchurch unbelievable!!! No help from Fti so far!!!! Still refusing to change the car, even we should have never got such a car in the first place! Ruining our holiday with a baby girl! Paid 20 000 NZD for this because we were told Maui is the best branch and now we are treated totally inhuman. We have 7 more weeks and are totally desperate. We don’t feel save driving this car any further. Have reported the case to the police and to the fire department, in case something happens to us! Please finally help us!

We waited for more than two hours to be checked into our camper van. The staff was friendly, but they were terribly under staffed. Be aware that require you to fill propane, which is inconvenient. Be ready for another $100 in road taxes that they charge when you check out (calculated on miles). Camper van itself was great, the customer experience--not so much!

It was really good that the campervan has cutlery ? the beds are really Good I would recommend the top bed on a 6 berth campers because it’s the biggest one in it.Try to get to all the attractions because they are fun and most of them are safe for campers which is good for the 6 berth. Good service Be mindful getting a motor home is not as easy as picking up a rental car. Factor in a lot of time could be up to 45 minutes minimum For the return be mindful there are many people which come in at 3.30 pm creating a rush hour. If you can pay some extra dollars you can get Express Check out where you drop the key and walk off. There are good coffee and tea facilities as well
